Celtics vs. 76ers NBA Prediction
The red-hot 76ers have won eight of their last 10 games and are only laying 3.5 points to the visiting Celtics at 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday night. Will Philly cover that number or is there a better bet on the board when it comes to this matchup?

Boston Celtics DFS Spin
Marcus Smart (health and safety protocols) won’t play on Friday against the 76ers. Dennis Schroder got the start last time out with Smart sidelined with a thigh injury, and there’s no reason to think that won’t stay the same as long as Smart is in protocols. Josh Richardson also played 29 minutes off the bench.
Philadelphia 76ers DFS Spin
Joel Embiid hit 10-of-17 shots, a 3-pointer and 10-of-14 free throws on his way to 31 points, six rebounds, three assists, a block and seven turnovers in Wednesday’s 109-98 loss to the Hornets. The turnovers and loss to Charlotte were atypical, as the TOs were a season high and the Sixers hadn’t lost to the Hornets since November of 2016, while the rest of Embiid’s line was pretty solid. Fun fact: He’s now scored exactly 31 points in all five of his January games, which is kind of insane.
Celtics vs. 76ers NBA Betting Prediction
The Celtics are winless against the spread in their last six games against the 76ers and are just 1-5 against the number in their last six games in Philly. Boston is also 2-5 at the betting window in its last seven road games and is 8-23-1 ATS in its last 32 games when coming off a win of more than 10 points. The Sixers, meanwhile, are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games overall and are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 home games when they play an opponent with a road winning percentage of less than .400.
