Coming off a relatively quiet trade deadline for Detroit, the Pistons are heading into a younger direction. They are coming off a 95-92 loss at home to the Knicks on Friday. Detroit is now 19-36 on the season, 11-18 at home, 20-34-1 against the spread and 33-22 with the over.
Detroit is putting up 108.5 points per game this season while shooting 46.3 percent from the floor. The Pistons are giving up 110.9 points per game as well, while opponents shoot 47.7 percent from the field. Along with trading Andre Drummond, Detroit is without Derrick Rose and Luke Kennard this evening due to injury. NBA Betting Trends
Charlotte
The Hornets have failed to cover in six of their last seven Monday games and in four straight following a loss.
Detroit
The Pistons are 4-13 against the spread in their last 17 home games and 3-13 ATS in their last 16 Monday games.
Prediction:
The Hornets have won all three meetings with the Pistons this season, so I am going to stick with the trend. Detroit has some motivated young players going tonight, but they are still trying to piece themselves together. The Hornets have relatively a healthy roster and are coming off some games against top opponents. The Pistons don’t have much of a home-court advantage to rely on, so don’t look for Charlotte to be overwhelmed by being on the road today.
NBA Prediction: Charlotte Hornets +2.5
