Bulls on big skid
Chicago is coming off a 107-100 loss at Los Angeles on Tuesday for its eighth straight loss. The Bulls are 1-2-1 against the spread in the four games on this West Coast road trip. Chicago is 10-34 overall, 5-17 on the road, 20-23-1 against the spread and 26-17-1 with the under.
The Bulls have the league’s worst offense, averaging just 100.9 points per game while shooting only 44.4 percent from the field. Defensively, Chicago is giving up 110.9 points per game. Zach LaVine is leading the Bulls with 23.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per contest while Lauri Markkanen is adding 16.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
Nuggets hammered by Golden State
Denver is coming off a 142-111 loss at home to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. The Nuggets have failed to cover the spread in three straight games. The Nuggets are 29-14 overall, 18-4 at home, 23-20 against the spread and 23-19-1 with the under.
The Nuggets are giving up 106.3 points per game on defense this season, which ranks sixth in the NBA. Denver is holding opponents to just 33.8 percent shooting from the arc. Offensively, the Nuggets are putting up 110.4 points per game. Gary Harris remains questionable to play tonight due to a lingering hamstring injury. Nikola Jokic is leading the team with 19.7 points, 10.1 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game. Jamal Murray is adding 18.5 points and 4.9 assists per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Chicago
The Bulls are 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six against Western Conference opponents and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five after a loss.
Denver
The Nuggets are 9-4 against the spread in their last 13 home games. Denver is 1-5 against the spread in their last six against Central division opponents.
Prediction:
Denver has been a pain for me. The Nuggets have been tough to pin down in terms of covers. However, they are 14-8 against the spread at home this season. Tonight they play a Chicago team that has been a bit of a mess all year. Denver is also coming off an embarrassing loss at home to the Warriors, so I would expect they did some soul searching since Tuesday and will come out motivated.
NBA Prediction: Denver Nuggets -13
