Bulls covering
Chicago is just 2-5 in its last seven games following a 109-106 loss at Oklahoma City on Monday night, but the Bulls have covered the spread in five of their last six games. The Bulls are 10-19 on the season, 4-9 on the road, 15-14 against the spread and 15-14 with the under.
The Bulls have struggled on offense this year, averaging just 105.5 points per game while shooting 43 percent from the field. Defensively, Chicago is giving up 107.4 points per game, while opponents shoot 45.4 percent against them. Zach LaVine is leading the team with 23.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Lauri Markkanen is adding 14.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest.
Wizards end skid
Washington put an end to a four-game losing streak on Monday with a 133-119 win at Detroit. The Wizards are now 8-17 on the season, 4-6 at home, 13-11-1 against the spread and 14-10-1 with the over.
The Wizards are putting up 118 points per game on offense this year, while shooting 47.3 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from the arc. Defensively, Washington is giving up 122.2 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 49.7 percent against them and 38.2 percent from the arc. Bradley Beal is leading the team with 27.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game. David Bertans is adding 15.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. The Wizards are banged up in the frontcourt, as Thomas Bryant, Rui Hachimura and Mortiz Wagner are all out tonight.
NBA Betting Trends
Chicago
The Bulls have covered the spread in four straight road games and in six straight following a loss.
Washington
The Wizards are 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six Wednesday games, but 2-7 ATS in their last nine games playing on 1 day of rest.
Prediction:
These two haven’t met this season, but the Bulls won and covered in four of the last five against the Wizards. Chicago has been playing better as of late, but they are still losing more than they are winning. They have had recent losses at home to Golden State and Charlotte, not exactly power teams. The Wizards are coming off four of their last five on the road, but their ability to score is why I like them in this matchup. Washington is going to score, the key is for their opponent to score more. I don’t think Chicago has the offense to do that. While the Wizards are beat up, it didn’t hurt them against the Pistons on Monday. I think Washington will just have too much scoring for the Bulls on the road tonight.
