Bulls lose fifth straight
Chicago is coming off a 118-111 loss at Philadelphia on Sunday for a fifth consecutive loss. The Bulls are 19-35 on the season, 8-19 on the road, 24-29-1 against the spread and 29-25 with the over.
The Bulls are averaging 106.2 points per game on offense this season while shooting 44.2 percent from the field. Defensively, Chicago is giving up 109.2 points per game while opponents shoot 47.4 percent against them. The Bulls are lighting up the injury report right now, with 10 currently listed in some capacity. Five are out while one is doubtful. Lauri Markkanen, Otto Porter Jr. and Wendell Carter Jr. are among those out. They rank second-fourth in scoring on the team and combined for nearly 20 rebounds per game. Zach LaVine is leading the team with 25 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
Wizards respectable at home
Washington has won three of its last five games during a five-game homestand. The Wizards are coming off a 106-99 loss at home to Memphis on Sunday. Washington is now 18-33 overall, 12-13 at home, 25-25-1 against the spread and 30-20-1 with the over.
The Wizards are putting up 115.5 points per game on offense while shooting 46.2 percent from the field. Defensively, the Wizards are allowing 120.4 points per game while opponents shoot 48.7 percent against them. Bradley Beal is leading the Wizards this season with 29.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. Davis Bertans is adding 15.1 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Chicago
The Bulls are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games as an underdog and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a cover.
Washington
The Wizards are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games.
Prediction:
The Bulls have won both meetings with the Wizards this season, including an OT victory in Washington back on Dec. 18. However, I like Washington at home tonight. Chicago is beat up and I think that will keep it from being able to score with the Wizards. Washington is going to put up points at home. Beal is very motivated by not making the All-Star Game this year and I think he will look to put on a show tonight against a bad team to further his cause. Chicago just doesn’t have the supporting cast to win a shootout on the road.
NBA Prediction: Washington Wizards -3
