The Clippers and Pelicans meet on Monday night in New Orleans where Los Angeles will be a 3.5-point road favorite. Will the Clippers cover that number or is there a better option on the board for bettors?

Paul George scored 33 points with a season-high 14 rebounds during Friday’s win in Houston, making 10-of-27 field goals and 10-of-10 free throws with three 3-pointers, 14 rebounds, four assists and two steals. George was back after a one-game absence to get some rest. That may be a theme down the stretch for the Clippers, who barring a meltdown are assured homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Missed games are about the only thing that can slow down PG these days. He’s been dominating with an efficient 27.3 points per game for the past month, in addition to 2.9 triples, 7.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.4 steals. And his fantasy ceiling gets even higher with Kawhi Leonard (sore right foot) still awaiting a return timetable.
New Orleans Pelicans DFS Spin
Zion Williamson shot 13-of-23 from the field and 7-of-13 from the foul line in Saturday’s loss to the Spurs, recording a line of 33 points, 14 rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes. Despite being limited for much of his rookie season due to injury, it only two Williamson 79 games to hit (and surpass) the 2,000-point mark for his career. He is the 12th player in league history to do so in 80 games or less, and the first to do so since Michael Jordan. As for this season, Williamson and the Pelicans now find themselves four games behind 10th-place Golden State (and 4.5 behind San Antonio) in the race for a play-in round spot with 12 games left to play. It goes without saying that New Orleans’ chances of reaching the postseason are very slim.
Clippers vs. Pelicans Betting Prediction:
The Clippers are just 7-21 against the spread in their last 28 games versus the Pelicans in New Orleans and 3-8 against the number in their last 11 games in this series overall. The over is also 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams and is 4-0 in the last four meetings in New Orleans, so I’m taking both the home dog and the over.
NBA BETTING PREDICTION: PELICANS +3.5/OVER 227.5
