According to the latest oddsmakers, the Mavericks are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Spurs. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 227.5 points. The public betting currently has 85 percent going on Dallas as the road favorite. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Mavs filling up the injury report

Dallas is beat up and the Mavs are coming off a 112-109 loss at home to the Pacers on Sunday. The Mavericks are 39-26 on the season, 21-11 on the road, 34-28-3 against the spread and 40-25 with the over.

The Mavericks are putting up 116.5 points per game on offense this year while shooting 46.3 percent from the field. Defensively, Dallas is allowing 110.4 points per game while opponents are shooting 45.3 percent from the floor. Already without the likes of Seth Curry and Jalen Brunson due to injury, Luka Doncic is also questionable to go tonight due to a wrist injury. Doncic is one of the best in the league, averaging 28.5 points, 9.4 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game. Kristaps Porzingis is adding 19.4 points and 9.4 rebounds per contest.

Spurs back in a funk

San Antonio has been struggling in recent weeks, dropping five of their last seven. That includes a 132-129 OT loss at Cleveland on Sunday. The Spurs are 26-36 on the season, 15-14 at home, 24-37-1 against the spread and 38-23-1 with the over.

The Spurs are putting up 13.1 points per game on offense while shooting 46.9 percent from the field. Defensively, San Antonio is giving up 115. Points per game while opponents shoot 47 percent against them. The Spurs also have some injuries to deal with, as LaMarcus Aldridge remains out with a shoulder injury. He averages 18.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. DeMar DeRozan is adding 22.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Dallas

The Mavericks are 16-4-1 against the spread in their last 21 games as a road favorite and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record.

San Antonio

The Spurs are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven home games and have failed to cover in seven straight overall.

Prediction:

The Mavs have won all three meetings with the Spurs this season, covering in two of the three wins as well. I like Dallas again tonight, even with the injuries. The Mavericks have learned to play without Doncic throughout the season and been able to get plenty of wins. San Antonio hasn’t proven to be consistent on the floor, even when healthy. I can’t trust the Spurs to pick up their game tonight against the Mavs. They are without Aldridge in the paint and haven’t shown an ability to defend throughout the year.

NBA Prediction: Dallas Mavericks -3.5
