Lee Visits Timberwolves
Minneapolis, MN – Free agent forward David Lee has visited the Minnesota Timberwolves.
His agent says the worst team in the Western Conference made a strong pitch to try and persuade Lee to join the rebuilding effort.
Lee visited the Twin Cities for about nine hours on Saturday. He met with the Wolves front office and attended part of the Rays-Twins game at Target Field with coach Kurt Rambis and team president David Kahn.
Lee’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, says the Timberwolves’ pitch had a lot of enthusiasm. He called it “a great visit.” He would not say if an offer was made, but did say he and Lee will talk things over in the next few days.
Lee averaged 20.2 points and 11.7 rebounds for the New York Knicks last season.
