Golden State Warriors vs. Atlanta Hawks – 2/22/16 NBA Betting Trends and Odds

Warriors in a trap game?

The Golden State Warriors are in the midst of a road trip and now face a potential trap game when they face the Atlanta Hawks tonight at 8PM ET.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Warriors are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -7 points against the Hawks. The over/under total for the game has been set at 224 points.

Golden State (49-5) is in the fourth game of a six-game road trip that they are 2-1 in thus far. The Warriors have been struggling to play to their high standard, however, as they have failed to cover in four straight games. This will be their third game in four nights as well, already getting beat by Portland, then holding off the Clippers for a three-point win.

Atlanta (31-26) isn’t exactly lighting the world on fire either, losing and failing to cover in four of their last five games. The Hawks aren’t accustomed to being a home underdog too much, as they are 1-1 against the spread in 2 games as a home dog. However, Golden State is plenty accustomed to being a road favorite. The Warriors are 16-11-1 against the spread this season in that scenario. The Warriors have also won six of their last seven against Atlanta, going 5-2 against the spread in those games. Despite their recent woes, Golden State knows it needs to step up its game heading to the Eastern side of the country.
