Grizzlies snap Warriors’ streak
MEMPHIS, TN (TheSpread) – The Golden State Warriors’ 16-game winning streak came to an end on Tuesday night at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Warriors had looked amazing over the past month, but Golden State was able to put an end to the streak with a 105-98 win at home last night. The win was actually the fifth straight for Memphis and moves their record to 20-4 on the season, just one game behind Golden State for the best in the NBA.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Grizzlies are getting 12/1 odds to win this year’s NBA Championship. Currently, the Cleveland Cavaliers are favored to win the title with 13/4 odds while the Spurs have 19/4 odds.
In Tuesday’s win, Memphis was able to cool off Golden State’s shooting, as the Warriors were just 9 of 31 from 3-point land and 39 of 95 from the floor. Memphis was led in the win by Marc Gasol, who had 24 points and seven rebounds while Zach Randolph added 17 points and 10 rebounds. Vince Carter also added 16 points off the bench.
