Memphis Grizzlies DFS Spin
Memphis center Steven Adams has been out for a few weeks with a PCL sprain in his right knee. He likely won’t be back on the court until April.
Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant has been one of the best players in the NBA this season. The former #2 overall pick in 2019 is putting up 27.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 1 steal, and 1.7 made three-pointers per game this year and he should be in consideration for your DFS lineups on Sunday.
For a value play, consider Memphis power forward Brandon Clarke. Clarke is averaging 10.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game in 19.7 minutes per contest for the Grizzlies this year. His high field goal percentage of 66.2% could make Brandon Clarke worth a flier in DFS this weekend.
Boston Celtics DFS Spin
The Celtics will be missing two key players on Sunday. Shooting guard Jaylen Brown suffered a facial fracture and he’ll be out until the end of the month. Brown had been putting up 26.5 points and 7 rebounds per game this year. Boston will also be without the services of point guard Marcus Smart. Smart sprained his right ankle and will be out till the end of February. Smart was averaging a team-high 7.2 assists per game for Boston this season.
Smart’s absence could mean more minutes for Boston point guard Malcolm Brogdon. Brogdon could be worth a look in DFS due to his scoring (14.3 points per game), assist numbers (3.7 per game), and three-point shooting (45.2%). Brogdon could see an uptick in volume and production this weekend and beyond as long as Smart is out.

Grizzlies vs. Celtics NBA Prediction
The fact that Boston won’t have Jaylen Brown or Marcus Smart for this game is huge, in my opinion. You could make the case that Brown and Smart are the Celtics’ second and third-best players. Boston will not only miss their scoring on Sunday but their stellar defense as well.
At full strength, I think these teams are about even as they are first and third in the NBA in average scoring margin and they’re both top-two seeds in their respective conferences. I think that Memphis will have something to prove in front of a national audience on Sunday and I think the Grizzlies ramp up the defensive pressure to either win the game outright or come close enough to cover.
