Ja Morant led Memphis with 28 points and eight assists on Saturday, making 10-of-19 field goals and 6-of-8 free throws with a pair of rebounds and a steal. That’s two straight gems from Morant to begin the season, and two Grizzlies victories. As usual, Morant did the vast majority of his damage in the paint and eight of his makes were within eight feet of the hoop. He’s a combined 3-of-11 from deep with all of his attempts ‘above the break’, after hitting 30.8% from that range last season. He’ll keep shooting to open up his drives, so fantasy managers have to live with a few 3-pointers as a trade-off for reduced FG percentage.
Los Angeles Lakers DFS Spin
Anthony Davis had a heated exchange with Dwight Howard during Friday’s loss to Phoenix, finishing with 22 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal. We’re not even sure what the argument was about but frustrations are boiling over with the Lakers off to an 0-2 start. As for fantasy, the big takeaway from tonight is that AD decided to suddenly hit his free throws again after a year of the “yips,” going 10-of-11 from the line. If this trend continues, he’ll crush his ADP. He has to avoid the locker room too, of course.
Grizzlies vs. Lakers NBA Betting Prediction
The Grizzlies catching six points as an unbeaten underdog looks like a great play but Memphis is just 2-7 ATS in its last nine road games versus the Lakers. Instead, I like the under, which is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings between these two teams and is 6-2-1 in the Lakers’ last nine games overall.
