Memphis Grizzlies DFS Spin
Grizzlies’ small forward Dillon Brooks is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game with right ankle soreness. Brooks is fourth on the team in scoring with 16.7 points per game this year. Memphis power forward Brandon Clarke has been upgraded to questionable for Saturday’s game, as he’s dealing with a hip ailment. Clarke is averaging 10.1 points per game this season.
Memphis shooting guard Desmond Bane is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. The 6’5” TCU alum is posting 21.2 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds per game for Memphis this season. What’s more, Bane has been terrific from the three-point line (41.4%) and the free-throw line (88.8%) on the campaign. He should offer some cost-effective value against a shorthanded Indiana squad this weekend.
Indiana Pacers DFS Spin
The Pacers will be without leading scorer Tyrese Haliburton on Saturday. Haliburton suffered injuries to his elbow and knee earlier this week and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. Indiana center Myles Turner has missed the Pacers’ last three games with a back injury and he’s officially listed as questionable for Saturday’s contest.
The absence of Tyrese Haliburton should mean more shots for Pacers shooting guard Buddy Hield. Hield is averaging 18.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game for the Pacers this year. What’s more, Hield is shooting a sizzling 42.7% from three-point range on 9.2 attempts per game this season. He should offer some shooting and scoring on the cheap on Saturday.
Grizzlies vs. Pacers NBA Betting Trends
Memphis is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games played on 2 days’ rest.
Memphis is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games.
Memphis is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games against a team with a winning straight-up record.
The over is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings between Memphis and Indiana.
Grizzlies vs. Pacers NBA Prediction
The Grizzlies are just behind the Nuggets with the second-best record in the Western Conference. Indiana will be missing its leading scorer in Tyrese Haliburton and may be missing their fourth-leading scorer in Myles Turner as well. Memphis has scored at least 116 points in 8 straight games, and I think they make it 9 on Saturday. With that being the case, I don’t think the Pacers will be able to muster enough scoring punch to keep this game close. I’ll lay the points on the road with the Grizzlies.
