Hawks own recent betting series with Heat as two meet in Miami on Sunday

Can Hawks cool off the Heat?

The Atlanta Hawks have had a lot of success over the Miami Heat in recent years. Will that continue when the two meet tonight at 6PM ET?

View NBA Finals Odds

According to oddsmakers at RealBets, the Heat are a slight favorite at home tonight, as they are getting odds of -1 point against the Hawks. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 194 points.

The Hawks (27-21, 23-24-1 ATS) have a ½ game lead on the Heat (26-21, 23-23-1 ATS) in the Southeast Division entering tonight’s game. Atlanta has had Miami’s number for the past couple seasons, going 7-1 overall in the last eight meetings with a 7-1-1 record against the spread in the last nine encounters. These two have met twice this season and the road team has won and covered in both of the meetings.

Another factor in this game is Miami has had just one day of rest while the Hawks haven’t played since Thursday. The Heat are just 13-7-1 ATS when playing on just one day of rest. Miami has also struggled to cover when coming off a win this season, as the Heat are just 10-15-1 ATS this season in that situation. With the Hawks losing four of their last five and their division lead in jeopardy, look for Atlanta to be up for this game and look to prove a point.
