Hawks vs. Cavs Public Betting: Bettors Backing Cleveland

Our NBA Public Betting Information page indicates that 56% of public bettors are currently backing the Cavs when it comes to the spread. This information is subject to change throughout the day, however, so be sure to check the link so you’re receiving the most up-to-date public betting data.

Young listed as probable

Trae Young (hamstring) is listed as probable to play against the Cavaliers on Thursday. Young missed Monday’s game with some tightness in his right hamstring, but he was back in the lineup against Houston on Tuesday. This injury isn’t expected to keep him sidelined for their game in Cleveland, and he’ll have the ball in his hands a ton with Jalen Johnson (shoulder) done for the season.

Mitchell finishes with 34 points vs. Heat

Donovan Mitchell had 34 points (14-of-23 FGs), one rebound, six assists, two steals and five 3-pointers in the Cavaliers’ 126-106 victory over the Heat on Wednesday. With the Cavaliers shorthanded without Darius Garland (rest) on the first night of a back-to-back, it’s hardly a surprise that Mitchell took it upon himself to torch the Heat with 34 points and five threes Wednesday. The 28-year-old shooting guard has been on a tear lately. He now has at least 30 points in six of his last nine games. Mitchell has provided third-round fantasy value on the season. Cleveland has two more games this week with the Hawks on Thursday and the Mavericks on Sunday.

Hawks vs. Cavs NBA Prediction:

In the last 10 meetings between these two teams, the under is 7-3. That includes a 5-2 record in the last seven meetings between these two teams. As for Atlanta, the under is 7-2-1 in the Hawks’ last 10 games. That includes an under streak of three straight. While the Cavs have been hitting the over of late, I think the Hawks will slow the pace down.

Hawks vs. Cavs Betting Prediction: UNDER 237.5
