Atlanta Hawks DFS Spin
Trae Young struggled mightily in Game 1 on Saturday and finished with 16 points (5-for-18 FGs), three rebounds, eight assists, two steals, one 3-pointer and five turnovers in a 112-99 loss to Boston. Atlanta fans are getting PTSD to last season’s playoffs, when Trae was completely shut down by Miami’s defense. For the second year in a row, the Hawks are matched up with a physical team that has the perimeter defense to take him out of the game. If Atlanta is going to make this series competitive, they’re going to need Trae to be better. They won the second half 55-38, but they made their big run with Young on the bench. That can’t happen without the franchise player if they want to play more than three more games.
Boston Celtics DFS Spin
Jayson Tatum recorded a double-double on Saturday with 25 points (10-for-23 FGs), 11 rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers in a win over the Hawks in Game 1. Boston took and 8-6 lead in the first quarter of this game and never relinquished the lead. Tatum’s performance was part of that, as he recorded a double-double in a big win. Tatum was one of three players to score at least 20 points for the Celtics, as Jaylen Brown (29) and Derrick White (24) also lit up the Hawks. Boston is one of the deepest teams in the league, which makes it difficult for defenses to key in on any one player. Tatum should continue to feast against Atlanta.
