Hawks vs. Knicks Public Betting: Bettors Taking Underdog

Our NBA Public Betting Information page indicates that 69% of public bettors are currently backing the Knicks when it comes to the spread. This information is subject to change throughout the day, however, so be sure to check the link so you’re receiving the most up-to-date public betting data.

Young probable to face Knicks

Trae Young (right Achilles tendonitis) is probable for Monday’s game against the Knicks. Young has consistently shown up on the injury report this year with various ailments whether it be an Achilles or rib injury or an illness, though he hasn’t missed very many games. The 26-year-old point guard has become one of Madison Square Garden’s greatest villains and it’s likely Young will suit up Monday in New York.

Towns full participant in Sunday’s practice

Karl-Anthony Towns (right thumb sprain) and Josh Hart (shoulder) were full participants in Sunday’s practice. Towns has missed two straight, but his participation in practice could mean he’s nearing a return. Hart hasn’t missed a game since December 19, but he’s apparently dealing with a shoulder injury. Both players’ next chance to play will come Monday against the Hawks at Madison Square Garden. If one or both are sidelined, expect Jericho Sims and Precious Achiuwa to see big minutes in the frontcourt.

Hawks vs. Knicks NBA Prediction:

Take Atlanta. The Hawks have won three straight both straight up and at the window. One of those games was a 119-115 victory at TD Garden versus the Celtics as a 9.5-point dog. They also knocked off the Bulls in Chicago as a 6-point underdog and won a home date with the Suns as a 2.5-point underdog. As for the Knicks, they’ve dropped three out of their last five games straight up and against the spread. One of those defeats came as an 8-point favorite.

Hawks vs. Knicks Betting Prediction: ATLANTA HAWKS +6.5
