Injuries piling up for the Heat
MIAMI, FL (TheSpread) – The Miami Heat are dealing with some key injuries this season that leaves their ability to win the NBA Finals in doubt.
The Heat are already dealing with Chris Bosh battling a strained calf that has him out indefinitely and now Josh McRoberts could miss the rest of the season with a knee injury suffered on Monday.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Heat currently have 66/1 odds to win the NBA Finals this season. Miami had 3/1 odds to win it all this season upon the conclusion of last year’s NBA Finals when oddsmakers thought LeBron James would return to the team.
Miami is currently 11-13 on the season and 10-13-1 against the spread. The Heat have the seventh-best record in the Eastern Conference right now, but are only 2.5 games ahead of the ninth-best record. The Heat have won just three of their last 10 games. They return to action tonight against the Brooklyn Nets and are a 7.5-point underdog on the road.
