Charlotte Hornets DFS Notes

Gordon Hayward (right foot) is being listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game in Toronto. Hayward sat out Sunday’s game due to the foot issue, and with Charlotte headed for a four-game week and Tuesday’s game being the first of a back-to-back, it’s possible that Hayward will need to miss one more game. If that’s the case, Cody Martin would get another start and there would be more minutes and shots available for Kelly Oubre Jr. Check back for another update on Hayward following Tuesday’s shootaround.

Toronto Raptors DFS Notes

Fred VanVleet put up 19 points in Sunday’s 114-105 loss to the Blazers, while chipping in five rebounds, eight assists, five steals, one block and two turnovers across 42 minutes. FVV’s shooting woes continue, as he’s shot north of 40% just once in his last seven games. As for fantasy value, he’s still posting top-20 numbers over the past week and will look to improve his shooting with a three-game week vs. the Hornets (Tuesday), Bulls (Wednesday) and Heat (Saturday). VanVleet leads the NBA in minutes per game by a full 1.2 minutes, but recently said he’s fine with coach Nick Nurse assigning a massive workload. OG Anunoby and Pascal Siakam are also top-6 in minutes per game, a situation that suits their fantasy GMs just fine.

Hornets vs. Raptors NBA Betting Prediction

The Hornets have covered in five straight meetings between these two teams and in four of their last five trips to Toronto. They’re also 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games as a road underdog, are 6-1 against the number in their last seven road games and are 7-2 at the betting window in their last nine games overall. As for the Raptors, they have failed to cover in seven of their last 10 home games when facing an opponent with a losing road record.

NBA BETTING PREDICTION: CHARLOTTE HORNETS +3.5
