After consulting with team trainers, Anthony will be held out for tonight’s game due to an ankle injury. Anthony left Tuesday’s game versus the Celtics with just one minute left in the second quarter but after getting his right ankle re-taped, he lasted just 20 seconds into the second half before heading to the locker room again.

Anthony was listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Nets but didn’t play and despite targeting Saturday for his possible return, he’ll be held out of tonight’s lineup. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Knicks are a 4.5-point underdog versus the Grizzlies.

How have the Knicks fared without Anthony this season? With him out on Wednesday, New York fell 110-104 to Brooklyn as a 3.5-point road favorite. He also missed a game versus Houston on November 29, a contest won by the Rockets 116-111 with the Knicks listed as a 4-point underdog.

In New York’s only other game without Anthony this season, the team fell 91-84 to the Cavaliers on December 23 but covered as a 12.5-point dog. Thus, the Knicks are 0-3 straight up without Anthony and 1-2 against the spread.
