MILWAUKEE, WI (TheSpread) – The Milwaukee Bucks suffered a big loss on Tuesday, as it was announced that rookie Jabari Parker will miss the rest of the season.

Parker suffered a knee injury on Monday night in Phoenix, but the severity was unclear and originally called a “sprained knee.” Further tests on Tuesday revealed that Parker suffered a torn ACL and he will have surgery to end the season.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Bucks currently have 300/1 odds to win the NBA Finals. Currently, the Cleveland Cavaliers are favored to win the title with 13/4 odds while the Spurs have 19/4 odds.

Parker was the second pick in last summer’s NBA Draft. He was having a promising start to his season, as he was averaging 12.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 49 percent from the floor. The Bucks were also having a promising season behind Parker, getting off to a 13-12 start. They currently have the sixth-best record in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks had just 15 wins all of last season.
