Donovan Mitchell guided the Jazz to a 125-102 win over the Nuggets on Sunday with 31 points, five rebounds, four assists, four triples, two steals and just one turnover in 35 minutes of floor time. Mitchell struggled with his shot a bit in Wednesday’s loss to the Cavs, going just 6-of-16 from the floor for 17 points, but he nearly matched that scoring total by halftime today and he ended his evening on 11-of-24 shooting from the field and 5-of-7 at the stripe. He also played some superb defense on Will Barton, helping hold him to just 6-of-17 shooting, and with the win, the Jazz put an end to a four-game skid.
Los Angeles Lakers DFS Notes
LeBron James was one of the only Lakers to show up in a brutal 133-96 loss to the Nuggets on Saturday, scoring a team-high 25 points (9-of-23 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs) with nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks, two 3-pointers and one turnover in 31 minutes. Simply put, LeBron is good at basketball, but his team is not. The Lakers are now in the midst of a three-game skid after going through a five-game losing streak back in December, and you have to wonder if the frustration is getting to The King. He has been absolutely outstanding and is showing us why he should never be drafted in the third round of fantasy drafts, but he won’t care about his numbers with a team that looks as horrible as they do.
