Sacramento Kings DFS Spin
Kings shooting guard Malik Monk has been dealing with right wrist soreness, and it’s unknown if he’ll be available for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies. Monk is fourth on Sacramento in scoring as he’s averaging 14.5 points per game in 23.2 minutes per game coming off the bench this year.
Sacramento’s star player this season has been power forward Domantas Sabonis. The 7’0” Lithuanian national leads the NBA in rebounding with 12.3 per game. He’s also second on Sacramento in scoring with 18.6 points per game. DFS owners will be pleased to know that Sabonis is also shooting extremely well this season, posting 63/45/74 field goal/three-point/free throw shooting percentage splits on the year. Sabonis will be one of the best options for high-efficiency big men in all of DFS on Sunday.
Memphis Grizzlies DFS Spin
Memphis big man Santi Aldama missed the Grizzlies’ last game with left ankle soreness, and he’s officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s tilt with the Kings. Aldama has made 16 starts for the Grizzlies this year and he’s averaged 9.6 points and 5.2 rebounds in 23.3 minutes per game for Memphis this season.
For multi-category production, DFS players should consider the Grizzlies’ Ja Morant. Morant is fifth in the NBA in assists with 8.1 per game and he’s scoring (26.8 points per game) and rebounding (6.2 rebounds per game) at a tremendous rate as well. Morant recorded 7 games of 10+ points and 10+ assists in the month of December, and he may be in line for another one on Sunday as Sacramento ranks 17th in the NBA in opponent’s assists per game and 24th in opponent points per game.

The under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between the Kings and Grizzlies in Memphis.
Kings vs. Grizzlies NBA Prediction
These are not the Sacramento Kings of years past. The Kings are having the best season they’ve had in more than a decade and they’re doing it with their ability to score. Sacramento ranks in the top five in the NBA in points per game, offensive efficiency, true shooting percentage, and effective field goal percentage. They will likely be able to score on Sunday.
The Grizzlies will be playing their second game in as many nights on New Year’s Day. Memphis toppled New Orleans 116-101 on New Year’s Eve. In that contest, the Grizzlies had to outscore the Pelicans by 12 points in the second half to salt the game away. I think that takes a minor toll on Memphis and I think Sacramento benefits from the extra rest and covers the number on New Year’s Day.
