Towns questionable to face 76ers

Karl-Anthony Towns (right thumb sprain) is questionable to play against Philadelphia on Wednesday. Towns downplayed the thumb injury following their loss to Detroit on Monday, but it was enough for him to land on the injury report. If he is forced to miss this game, Precious Achiuwa and Jericho Sims (back) would be in line for extra minutes, with Achiuwa being the priority streaming option.

Edwards logs 34 minutes in loss to OKC

Justin Edwards logged 34 minutes in Tuesday’s 118-102 loss to Oklahoma City, producing a stat line of 25 points (9-of-16 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, four assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers. Given how many 76ers regulars were out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game, someone had to step up. Enter Edwards, with the undrafted rookie (and Philadelphia native) having the night of his NBA career to date. Not only did he score a career-high 25 points, but Edwards did so efficiently. Maybe this performance will earn him an extended look the next time the 76ers are as shorthanded as they were on Tuesday. However, this game is not enough to make Edwards a player worth adding, especially with the 76ers likely getting some key players back for Wednesday’s game against the Knicks.

Knicks vs. 76ers NBA Prediction:

This line feels too low. The Knicks have won seven out of their last 10 games against the 76ers and have covered in six out of their last 10 contests. While the Knicks have failed to cover in six out of their last 10 games, the Sixers are a total mess. They’ve lost three straight overall and five consecutive games at the window. Philadelphia is also 3-7 against the spread in its last 10 games.

Knicks vs. 76ers Betting Prediction: NEW YORK KNICKS -6.5
