New York Knicks DFS Spin
New York center Mitchell Robinson has made a sizable impact so far in these playoffs. The 7-footer is averaging 7.6 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game in the postseason thus far. His scoring efficiency (67.6% shooting from the field) makes him an attractive DFS option on Saturday.
Knicks shooting guard Immanuel Quickley hasn’t got it going yet in this series. He might be a nice bounce-back candidate on Saturday. Quickley scored 24 points against Miami on March 29th, and he poured in 21 points on the road against the Heat on March 3rd. Quickley will likely get it going at some point and Saturday might be the day he breaks out of his scoring slump.
Miami Heat DFS Spin
Miami will be without guards Tyler Herro and Victor Oladipo on Saturday. Herro has a broken hand and Oladipo suffered a season-ending knee injury. The real injury status to monitor is that of Jimmy Butler. Butler missed Game 2 against New York with an ankle injury, and he’s officially listed as questionable for Saturday’s tilt with the Knicks. Butler is Miami’s best player and is pouring in 35.5 points per game on 58.5% shooting from the field in these playoffs.
Miami small forward Caleb Martin is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game with a back contusion, but he told reporters that he plans to play in Game 3. Martin could be important to the Heat, as he’s averaging 12.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in the postseason thus far.
Knicks vs. Heat NBA Betting Trends
New York is 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 games following an outright win.
New York is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss.
Miami is 11-28-1 ATS in their last 40 games following an ATS win.
Miami is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games following a road trip of 7 or more days.
Knicks vs. Heat NBA Prediction
Jimmy Butler’s injury status looms large over this game and should be monitored all the way up to game time. Without him, the Heat are a completely different team. The line will likely move depending on Butler’s availability.
But I like the Knicks irrespective of Butler’s injury status. New York has been terrific away from Madison Square Garden this season. The Knicks are 38-16-1 ATS in their last 55 road games and they are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 road games against a team with a home winning percentage over .600. The Knicks have also been solid on extended rest, as they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 3 or more days’ rest. I like the Knicks to cover the number on the road in Miami on Saturday.
