New York Knicks DFS Spin
Knicks guard Jalen Brunson has missed New York’s last two games with an ankle injury and he’s officially listed as questionable for Thursday’s tilt with the Kings. Brunson is averaging 23.9 points and 6.2 assists per game for the Knicks this year. His status is worth monitoring up to tipoff.
New York guard Immanuel Quickley has played well with and without Jalen Brunson in the lineup. In four March games, Quickley is pouring in 22 points per game, dishing out 4.3 dimes per game, and collecting 4 rebounds per game. Quickley is shooting 49.3% from the field and 41.7% from three in that same span. He could have a big day against a Kings defense that ranks 26th in defensive efficiency this year.
Sacramento Kings DFS Spin
Sacramento star point guard De’Aaron Fox missed the Kings’ last game with left hamstring soreness, but he’s listed as probable for Thursday’s clash with the Knicks. Fox is having a great season, as he’s posting 25.5 points, 6.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 1.5 made three-pointers per game for the Kings this year. He’d be worth a look in DFS if you need a point guard that contributes across multiple categories.
If you need cost-effective shooting, Kings guard Kevin Huerter should be able to help. The 6’7” Maryland alum is averaging 15.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.7 made three-pointers per game for Sacramento this season. Huerter is shooting well both from the field (48.9%) and the three-point line (40.1%) this year and should help bolster your shooting percentages if you elect to use him in DFS Thursday.
Knicks vs. Kings NBA Betting Trends
New York is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning straight-up record.
New York is 32-11 ATS in their last 43 road games.
Sacramento is 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games against a team with a winning straight-up record.
Sacramento is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games against a team with a winning road record.
Knicks vs. Kings NBA Prediction
The New York Knicks are a great road team. They are tied for the best straight-up record on the road at 20-12 and they have the best record in the NBA against the spread on the road at 22-10. It’s worth monitoring the status of Jalen Brunson as he’s an important player for New York, but the Knicks did beat the Celtics on the road Sunday night without Brunson. Julius Randle, Immanuel Quickley, and RJ Barrett all scored 29 points or more in that game, and they could be in line for big games again in Sacramento Thursday. The Kings’ defense is allowing 118.4 points per game, a figure that ranks 28th in the league. I don’t think Sacramento will be able to get enough stops to win and cover this game, so I’ll take the Knicks and the points on the road Thursday.
