New York Knicks DFS Spin
The Knicks will be without fourth-year center Mitchell Robinson for Sunday’s clash with the Raptors. Robinson underwent surgery this week to repair a broken thumb and he’ll be out for at least three weeks. Robinson had been averaging 7.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game in 37 starts for the Knicks this season.
For a value play at shooting guard, consider New York’s Quentin Grimes. The second-year man out of Houston is fifth on the team in scoring with 10.5 points per game and second on the team in three-point shooting percentage at 37%. Grimes has scored in double figures in 8 out of 10 games this month and he could be in for a nice day against a Toronto team that ranks 26th in the league in opponent three-point percentage.
Toronto Raptors DFS Spin
Raptors small forward O.G. Anunoby injured his ankle during Saturday night’s game against the Celtics and did not finish the game. He’s officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s tilt with the Knicks. Raptors guard Fred Van Vleet sat out Saturday night’s game with a rib ailment. He’s officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, but he has a good chance of playing against the Knicks.
If O.G. Anunoby is unable to play on Sunday, that could mean more shots for Raptors shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. Trent is having a tremendous year for the Raptors, as he’s averaging a career-high 18.5 points per game. What’s more, Trent is sinking an average of 2.6 three-pointers per game and swiping 1.7 steals per game. Trent has posted at least 18 points in 13 of his last 14 games and may need to do so again for Toronto to win and cover on Sunday.
Knicks vs. Raptors NBA Betting Trends
New York is 26-8 ATS in their last 34 road games.
New York is 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games playing on 1 day of rest.
New York is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Sunday games.
Toronto is 5-12 ATS in their last 17 Sunday games.
Knicks vs. Raptors NBA Prediction
The Knicks have been great on the road against the spread this season. New York is 17-5 against the spread in their last 22 road games against a team with a winning home record. Toronto, on the other hand, has struggled at home lately. The Raptors are 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 home games against a team with a winning road record. I think the Knicks are the better team and there’s some value in taking them on the money line at +105, but I’ll take the points as the pick.
