New York Knicks DFS Notes
Julius Randle played well in a loss to the Warriors on Tuesday, scoring 31 points (10-of-21 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs) and also recording seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, five triples and four turnovers in 37 minutes. Randle had a great second half with 25 points in that period, and despite the nice showing tonight, he generally hasn’t looked himself lately and that could be why the Knicks are 7-15 over their last 22 games with tonight’s loss factored in, but he isn’t the only problem. He’s missing shots we saw him make so consistently last year and hasn’t looked as comfortable handling the ball, with those missed shots and turnovers making it very difficult for him to justify his third-round ADP (currently a seventh-rounder). Maybe this game will help him turn things around, which would be a positive thing for both the Knicks franchise and Randle’s fantasy managers.
Houston Rockets DFS Notes
KJ Martin matched his season-high with 14 points vs. Cleveland on Wednesday, grabbing three boards with two steals and a triple in 26 minutes. Martin was a silly season hero down the stretch of the 2020-21 season, and with the Rockets down so many players, it’s nice to see the high-flying forward get some more run. Christian Wood (knee) will miss at least one more game, leaving the door wide open for Martin to keep impressing. Give him a look as a source of defensive stats, rebounds and FG%.
Knicks vs. 76ers NBA Betting Prediction
The Knicks have covered in four of their last five games versus the Rockets and are 7-1 against the number in their last eight games in Houston. They’re also 5-2 against the spread in their last seven road games and have covered in 13 of their last 19 road games when facing an opponent like Houston that has a winning home record. On the other side, the Rockets are just 16-36 against the spread in their last 52 home games.
