New York Knicks DFS Spin
RJ Barrett played 26 minutes in Saturday’s 122-108 win over the Hornets, accumulating 15 points (5-of-15 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), three rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one 3-pointer. Barrett was back in action after missing two games with a migraine headache, and it was unsurprising that he looked a bit rusty.
That was to be expected, and Saturday’s performance doesn’t take away from the fact that Barrett was off to the best start of his career before the migraine sidelined him. And he had plenty of help on Saturday, with three starters scoring at least 21 points. Julius Randle was one of those three, as he pumped in 21 (8-of-17 FGs, 3-of-7 FTs) with six rebounds, seven assists, and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes. The Knicks are scheduled to play three games in Week 5, beginning Monday night at Minnesota.
Minnesota Timberwolves DFS Spin
Karl-Anthony Towns played 33 minutes in Saturday’s 121-120 win over the Pelicans, scoring 29 points (10-of-11 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs) with six rebounds, nine assists, two blocks, and two 3-pointers. While the Pelicans were able to keep Anthony Edwards in check, they had no answer for Towns.
KAT missed one shot from the field and one from the foul line, and he did not commit a single turnover. The 7-footer capped his night with a driving basket with 5.6 seconds remaining, and that basket would stand as the game-winner. Towns being available has helped immensely with the Timberwolves’ chemistry, something they struggled to establish last season as he was only available for 29 games. The aforementioned Edwards finished Saturday’s win with 23 points (9-of-19 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, and five 3-pointers before fouling out late in the fourth quarter. Finished with their Week 4 slate, the Timberwolves will play four games in Week 5.
