Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Lakers are 1.5-point favorites to beat the Bulls. The total, meanwhile, sits at 225 points and as of this writing, 56% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Lakers to cover the point spread.
L.A. Lakers Fantasy Spin
Kyle Kuzma (right ankle) practiced in full on Monday and is being listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game in Chicago. Kuzma went through about 75% of Friday’s practice, and with him getting through the full practice today, he’s clearly moving in the right direction. Luke Walton wouldn’t commit to him being available for Tuesday’s game in Chicago, but we should get another update following shootaround. If he is able to get back out there, Moritz Wagner will likely return to the second unit. Stay tuned.
Chicago Bulls Fantasy Spin
Zach LaVine (knee) is doubtful for Tuesday’s game vs. the Lakers according to coach Jim Boylen. LaVine underwent treatment at Monday’s practice and is listed as day-to-day, but no one should be surprised that the Bulls are playing it safe. Ryan Arcidiacono took LaVine’s spot in the starting lineup on Sunday, but it was Wayne Selden (18 points, four rebounds, two assists and one triple) and Shaq Harrison (11 points, seven assists, two rebounds and one triple) who made the most noise.
NBA Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Lakers are 0-5 against the spread in their last five games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
Chicago
The Bulls are 5-17 against the spread in their last 22 home games versus a team with a losing road record.
Prediction
This is a principle play at this point: I’m not going to back the Lakers as a road favorite. They should be favored over anyone on the road, regardless of who the opponent is. The Lakers are winless against the spread in their last five road games and are winless at the betting window in their last five games overall. They’re also 5-20-1 against the spread in their last 26 games versus Eastern Conference foes and are 2-10-1 ATS in their last 13 games versus a team with a winning percentage below .400.
Tuesday NBA Prediction: Chicago Bulls +1.5
