According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Warriors are the heavy favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -10.5 points against the Lakers. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 236 points. The public betting for this game currently has 57 percent going on the Warriors at home. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

LeBron returns

LeBron James returned to the Lakers on Thursday night, leading them to a 123-120 OT win over the Clippers. The Lakers are 27-25 on the season, 11-13 on the road, 22-28-2 against the spread and 32-19-1 with the under.

Los Angeles is averaging 112.3 points per game on offense this season while shooting 47.3 percent from the field. Defensively, the Lakers are giving up 112.1 points per game while holding opponents to 44.2 percent shooting. LeBron is averaging 27.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game this season while Kyle Kuzma is adding 18.9 points per game.

Warriors end win streak

Golden State saw their 11-game win streak come to an end on Thursday in a 113-104 loss at home to the 76ers. Klay Thompson didn’t play in the loss due to an illness. Golden State is 36-15 on the season, 18-7 at home, 23-27-1 against the spread and 28-23 with the over.

The Warriors have the league’s top offense, as Golden State is averaging 118.8 points per game while shooting 49 percent from the field and 38.7 percent from the arc. Defensively, Golden State is allowing 111.8 points per game. Thompson is still questionable to play tonight due to his illness. Stephen Curry is leading the team with 29.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game while Kevin Durant is adding 27.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.9 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Lakers are 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 division games and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games.

Golden State

The Warriors are just 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 home games, but 3-0-1 ATS in their last four conference games.

Prediction:

It was Christmas Day that saw LeBron and the Lakers earn a 127-101 win over the Warriors at ORACLE. That was also when LeBron got hurt. Now back, it gives the Lakers new life and they need to get hot to get back in the Western Conference mix. The Warriors struggled on Thursday after a long win streak and it’s hard to get yourself picked up after that. I think the Warriors could be a little flat tonight, especially if Thompson sits out again. I will take LeBron getting double-digit points most nights.

NBA Prediction: Los Angeles Lakers +10.5
