The Orlando Magic had their four-game win streak come to an end on Monday night in a 110-101 loss at Milwaukee. NBA Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Lakers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games, but just 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games as a road favorite.
Orlando
The Magic are 1-4 against the spread in their last five home games, but 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a loss.
Prediction:
These two teams haven’t met this season, but the Magic have covered the spread in four straight against the Lakers. The Lakers are certainly playing well right now, but you have to be concerned about them being such a big favorite on the road as they head out East. Their previous road games that delve more toward the East were a failed cover at Chicago, a failed cover at New Orleans and a failed cover at Memphis. This is the first time the Lakers are touching down on the East coast. While Orlando lacks a lot of star power right now, I think their style of play may be able to keep this game close. Fewer possessions and travel could impact the Los Angeles offense and not allow them to really get into a good flow tonight. I will take my chances on the Magic getting points at home.
