Orlando Magic DFS Spin
Franz Wagner was held to 11 points on 3-of-12 shooting (5-of-6 FT) Sunday, to go with two rebounds, four assists, one block and three turnovers across 35 minutes. Wagner has shown growth as a playmaker this season, but the turnovers have been a bit of an issue, and through the first seven games of the season his stats for his sophomore year are nearly identical to the numbers he put up his rookie season. He is flirting with top-100 numbers, but his current production is a bit underwhelming based on his draft-day ADP of 74.
Oklahoma City Thunder DFS Spin
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished Saturday’s win over the Mavericks with 38 points (15-of-27 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), six rebounds, nine assists, two steals, and one block in 41 minutes. What a night for SGA and the Thunder, who trailed Dallas by 16 with 5:41 remaining in regulation. Gilgeous-Alexander’s floater with 4:35 remaining sparked a 20-4 run to end regulation, with Oklahoma City finishing the deal in overtime. OKC doesn’t have the most talented roster, but they’ve got an emerging star in SGA. Provided he doesn’t get shut down at some point, Gilgeous-Alexander is an incredible asset for managers who have him rostered. Oklahoma City plays three games next week with no back-to-backs; hopefully, SGA won’t be at risk of having to sit for load management reasons.
