Dallas Mavericks DFS Spin
Dallas point guard Luka Doncic is one of the best scorers in the league and should always be considered for every DFS lineup. The Slovenian national is posting 32.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, 8.1 assists, 1.4 steals, and 2.9 made three-pointers per game for the Mavs this season. He dropped 42 points in the Mavericks’ loss to the Heat on Saturday night and should be in line for at least 30 points against an Atlanta team that ranks 23rd in the league in defensive efficiency.
Mavericks forward Christian Wood could be a nice sleeper in DFS on Sunday. Wood is putting up 16.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.5 made three-pointers per game for Dallas on the campaign. His efficiency (51.8% from the field, 36.8% from deep) makes him a worthy DFS target this weekend.
Atlanta Hawks DFS Spin
Hawks forward Deandre Hunter will miss Sunday’s game with a left knee injury. Hunter is third on the team in scoring with 15.4 points per game this season and sixth on the team in rebounding with 4.3 boards per game.
Atlanta center Clint Capela is an underrated DFS asset. Capela doesn’t shoot threes, but he does score (12 points per game), rebound (11.1 boards per game), and block shots (1.2 rejections per game). The Swiss national does have a tough time with free throws as he only shoots 60% from the line, but he offsets that by converting 64.9% of his field goal tries.

Dallas is 4-14 ATS in their last 18 games against Atlanta.

Atlanta is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games against a team with a losing road record.
Mavericks vs. Hawks NBA Prediction
The numbers do not favor the Mavericks. Dallas is playing the Hawks on the second night of a back-to-back and the Mavericks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days’ rest. Dallas is also 1-9-1 ATS in their last 11 Sunday games. To top it all off, the Mavericks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against the Hawks in Atlanta. The Dallas Mavericks appear to be a mess of a basketball team, which is something that can happen when you trade for Kyrie Irving and don’t defend anyone. For that reason, and the reasons listed, I’ll lay the points with the Hawks at home on Sunday.
