Lakers continue to lose at betting window
The Lakers will host the Mavericks at 10:30PM ET on Tuesday night and for bettors, fading Kobe Bryant and Co. has been a wise investment of late.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Lakers are 7.5-point home underdogs after opening as an 8-point dog for tonight’s game. The over/under, meanwhile, sits at 201.5 points.
The Lakers have been a horrible bet all season, but especially lately. They’re just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games overall, with their lone cover coming as a 16-point home dog versus the Spurs in a 108-95 loss last Friday. On the season the Lakers are 19-27 against the spread, which is the third-worst ATS winning percentage in the league. Only the Suns (18-27 ATS) and the Bulls (17-27 ATS) have been worse.
The favorite is 7-2 against the spread in the last 10 meetings between these two teams while the Mavs are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games versus the Lakers. Dallas hasn’t struggled at the betting window in L.A. either, covering in 13 of its last 18 road games versus the Lakers.
