Dallas Mavericks DFS Notes

Luka Doncic flirted with a triple-double over 39 minutes in Sunday’s win over the Celtics, tallying 26 points (8-of-16 FG, 6-of-6 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists, four triples, three steals and five turnovers. Doncic exited today’s game during the second quarter after experiencing some “tightness” in his left hamstring, but after being evaluated in the locker room he returned to the game a short while later and played through the hamstring issue. It did seem to be giving him some problems throughout the game, though, but the good news is that the Mavs have a full two days off until their next matchup. However, they also have a Friday-Saturday back-to-back set next week, so it’s possible he’ll only be available for two of Dallas’ three games during Week 22. Stay tuned.

Brooklyn Nets DFS Notes

Kyrie Irving hit 20-of-31 shots, 8-of-12 3-pointers and 12-of-13 free throws on his way to a career-high 60 points to set a new franchise record for the Nets in Tuesday’s 150-108 win over the Magic. He also had six rebounds, four assists, four steals and a block with just one turnover. Irving scored 16 in the first quarter, 25 in the second, 10 in the third and nine in the fourth quarter before leaving with about eight and a half minutes left in the game, which was a 40-point blowout. Irving, who still can’t play at home, stands to only be eligible to play in three of the Nets’ final 13 games so he made sure he got his money’s worth tonight. And if you played Kyrie for his one game this week he basically got you a week’s worth of production in 35 minutes. Michael Jordan still holds the record of 64 points scored in a game against the Magic but Kyrie easily would have shattered that had they not mercy-pulled him.
