Luka Doncic hit 5-of-15 shots, missed all three of his 3-pointers and hit 3-of-4 free throws for 13 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists, a block and three turnovers in Wednesday’s 124-112 win over the Pacers, snapping a three-game losing streak for the Mavs. While Luka’s all-around game still hints at him not being in top physical condition he’s still racking up some ridiculous numbers. This was his fourth triple-double of the season and 30th of his career, and he didn’t seem bothered by a knee issue that briefly sent him to the locker room in the first half. Luka now has 30 career triple-doubles, all before turning 22 years old. Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson and LeBron James combined for 29 triple-doubles before turning 22. Wow. It took Luka 146 games to get his 30th triple-double, while Robertson did it in just 75 games.
San Antonio Spurs DFS Spin
Lonnie Walker went just 1-of-6 from the field on Wednesday for one 3-pointer, three rebounds and one turnover in a blowout loss to the Warriors. Walker hurt the thumb on his left (non-shooting) hand back on Jan. 14, and he’s been awful ever since, with three straight single-digit scoring performances. Over that three-game stretch, Walker has been connecting on just 23.8% of his shot attempts to go with averages of 5.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and not much else in 27.1 minutes a night. He belongs on the waiver wire in most leagues.
