Grizzlies vs. Hawks Prediction
The Memphis Grizzlies have won three straight games, in large part because of their defense. Listed as a small road favorite Wednesday night, will the Grizzlies take down an improved Atlanta Hawks team at 7:30 p.m. ET?

Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Grizzlies are 1-point favorites to beat the Hawks. The total, meanwhile, sits at 222 points and as of this writing, 65% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Hawks to cover the point spread.
Memphis Grizzlies Fantasy Spin
Jonas Valanciunas tied his season high with four blocks on Sunday, adding 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 24 minutes. JV’s final block obliterated Wes Iwundu at the rim down the stretch, so he wasn’t just racking up meaningless swats in garbage time. Jaren Jackson Jr. (quad bruise) and Kyle Anderson (shoulder) are both out indefinitely and look like prime shutdown candidates, which only solidifies JV’s role as Memphis works to integrate him over the final 14 games.
Atlanta Hawks Fantasy Spin
Trae Young struggled with his shot on Sunday (2-of-14 from the field), but still had 10 points, five rebounds and 10 assists in a Hawks victory over the Pelicans. This was a bit of a letdown coming off his first career triple-double, and Young has fallen into a bit of a shooting slump, going 18-of-63 his last four games. However, he continues to put up some big-time counting stats, including 17.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 8.3 rpg during those four. The 20-year-old is only five games removed from his 49-point, 16-assist game, and should break out of his shooting funk sooner rather than later.
NBA Betting Trends
Memphis
The Grizzlies are 10-3 against the spread in their last 13 games playing on two days of rest.
Atlanta
The Hawks are 6-1 against the number in their last seven games versus an opponent with a losing record.
Prediction
This combination of Valanciunas and Mike Conley of the Grizzlies have made this team competitive and undervalued at the betting window. In fact, Memphis opened as a 1-point road dog tonight, but the line jumped the fence early Wednesday morning. The Grizzlies are a perfect 5-0 against the spread in their last five games overall, while the Hawks are just 3-7 against the number in their last 10 games coming off a win. I’m going to continue to back the Grizzlies until they give me a reason otherwise.
