Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Lakers are 5.5-point favorites to beat the Heat. The total, meanwhile, sits at 221.5 points and as of this writing, 66% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Lakers to cover the point spread.
Miami Heat Fantasy Spin
Goran Dragic said his knee felt “good” after returning from an eight-game absence on Friday. “I feel good,” said Dragic following Monday’s shootaround. “After the Phoenix game, the knee was in pretty good shape, so it looks positive.” Dragic should be able to get through all four games this week with there being no back-to-back sets, so owners in weekly settings can feel free to get him active.
Los Angeles Lakers Fantasy Spin
Rajon Rondo (right hand) will miss at least the next two games for the Lakers. Rondo needed to have his fractured right hand drained on Sunday after the Lakers’ medical staff noticed some increased swelling, so the Lakers will “shut him down for a few days” before he’s re-evaluated. It seems unlikely that we’ll see Rondo take the floor this week, but maybe he’ll be able to get out there towards the end of their upcoming four-game road trip.
NBA Betting Trends
Miami
The Heat are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
Los Angeles
The Lakers have covered the spread in five of their last six home games versus an opponent with a winning road record.
Prediction
The Heat are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games playing on only one day of rest, are 2-9-3 against the number in their last 14 games coming off a win of more than 10 points and are 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games coming off an ATS win. The Lakers, meanwhile, are 4-1-1 at the betting window in their last six games overall, are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four home games and are 15-5-1 at the betting window in their last 21 games coming off a win of more than 10 points.
Monday NBA Prediction: Lakers -5.5
