Bucks roll again
Milwaukee moved to a 3-0 lead in the series on Saturday with another dominant win. This time it was 119-103. The Bucks have covered the spread in all three games thus far. Milwaukee comes into tonight’s game 63-22 on the season, 28-14 on the road, 50-31-4 against the spread and 44-31 with the over.
The Bucks used a little more defense to win this game, as their shooting wasn’t quite as strong as it was at home. Still, Milwaukee finished the game 42 of 86 from the field and 14 of 38 from the arc. Giannis Antetokounmpo had a slow start to the game, but still finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Khris Middleton added 20 points with eight rebounds while Brook Lopez had 19 points, seven rebounds and five blocks.
Pistons inch a little closer
Detroit was a little more competitive in Game 3 on Saturday, losing by 16 as opposed to 35 or 21. The Pistons are now 41-44 on the season, 26-16 at home, 41-41-3 against the spread and 44-41 with the under.
The Pistons got a nice surprise for Game 3 as Blake Griffin returned to the lineup despite reports he would sit out the entire sires due to a knee injury. Griffin was about the only positive Detroit had. He defended well and finished with 27 points, seven rebounds and six assists. However, the Pistons shot just 37 of 96 from the field and 11 of 36 from the arc. Andre Drummond really struggled, going just 5 of 14 from the field for 12 points. Reggie Jackson was second in scoring in the game with 15 points and eight assists.
NBA Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 16-4-1 against the spread in their last 21 division games and 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 road games.
Detroit
The Pistons are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven conference games and 0-4 ATS in their last four home games.
Prediction:
The Pistons have shown no ability to compete with the Bucks this series. Milwaukee has the far superior offense and talent. While Detroit has chipped away at the point differential, I don’t expect them to cover in Game 4. Giannis didn’t play all that well in Game 3 and they still won with ease. Other than Griffin, nobody on the Pistons is able to create offense, especially at the pace Milwaukee does.
NBA Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks -12
