A-listers hit hardcourt in New Orleans
This weekend, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome belongs to the biggest names in hoops – for the most part. Various entertainers will hit the hardwood tonight, though, in the latest version of the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
While event mainstays like Kevin Hart and Justin Bieber aren’t expected to suit up here, the exhibition before Sunday’s main attraction promises to feature a slew of recognizable faces. The action is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET, with new “SportsCenter” anchors Michael Smith and Jemele Hill coaching the West and East rosters, respectively.

Last February, Arcade Fire lead singer Win Butler powered Team Canada to a 74-63 victory. The performer logged 15 points, 14 rebounds and three steals. In a few hours, he’ll be joined by perennial WNBA All-Star Candace Parker and ex-Clippers baller Baron Davis. Actor Anthony Mackie, singer Andy Grammer and father-son rap duo Master P and Romeo Miller also have spots on Smith’s team.

Hill, meanwhile, should lean heavily on a pair of guards from different generations. Former Sacramento floor general Jason Williams and Olympic icon Oscar Schmidt headline the East club, with support from Lindsey Whalen of the Minnesota Lynx. Nick Cannon, Ansel Elgort and Brandon Armstrong should see a lot of minutes, too.
