NBA All-Star Game Predictions: Who Will Win the MVP? 2/18/18

All-Star Game MVP Picks

Of all of the top stars competing in Sunday night’s NBA All-Star Game, which one will walk away with the MVP honor?

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Giannis Antetokounmpo is favored to take the honor, as he has +475 odds. Other short odds to win are LeBron James (+550), Russell Westbrook (+575) and James Harden (+600). The NBA All-Star Game takes place tonight at 8PM ET from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and will air live on TNT.

Bet on NBA All-Star Game Odds

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the guy that stood out in my mind before seeing the odds. The Greek Freak is having a breakout season and this is his chance to really showcase his talents on the national stage. He is averaging 27.8 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game this season. His length and athleticism lead to a lot of highlight reel dunks and plays. That type of ability is perfect for this game. I think he will be aggressive and be given opportunities to steal the show.

DeMar DeRozanis someone I like for MVP at +1400 odds. The star of the Raptors is having his best season to date and finds himself in the starting lineup, which should lead to some big minutes tonight. DeRozan is averaging 23.7 points per game this season and he has the ability to light it up from anywhere on the floor. If he gets hot, I think he can put up a big scoring number and earn the MVP honor.

Joel Embiid has quickly become the biggest personality in the NBA and he has +2000 odds to win the MVP honor tonight. I think those are great odds for a guy that will have many eyes on him in this game. The only concern is will Embiid be restricted by minutes due to his injury history? If given the opportunity to play, there is no doubt he is going to try and take over the game and fuel his star power. Embiid is averaging 23.7 points, 11.1 rebounds and nearly 2 blocks per game when he plays. There is little doubt in my mind tonight that he will make a splash if given the time.
