NBA All-Star Game Prediction
The 2018 NBA All-Star Game is set to tip off later tonight with its new format. Which team will come away with the cover? Team LeBron or Team Steph?
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Team LeBron is the slight favorite in this game, as it is getting odds of -2.5 points against Team Steph. The over/under total for the game is listed at 338.5 points. Tonight’s game takes place from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and will air live on TNT at 8PM ET.
Team LeBron is captained by LeBron James and features a roster of Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, LaMarcus Aldridge, Bradley Beal, Russell Westbrook, Victor Oladipo, Paul George, Andre Drummond, Goran Dragic and Kemba Walker. The team will be coached by Dwane Casey of the Raptors.
Team Steph is captained by Stephen Curry and consists of a roster of James Harden, DeMar DeRozan, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, Damian Lillard, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, Kyle Lowry, Klay Thompson, Karl-Anthony Towns and Al Horford. The team is being coached by Mike D’Antoni of the Rockets.
Team LeBron has actually been plagued by injuries since the player draft. He has lost four players, including a starter in DeMarcus Cousins. While Team LeBron may have some more unproven stars looking to shine tonight, Team Stephen has the better roster in my mind. In a game about scoring, team Stephen has some of the top scorers in the league like Curry, DeRozan, Harden, Butler and Thompson. They also have scoring bigs like Embiid and Towns. The public betting is nearly split on this but I will teak Team Stephen to outscore Team LeBron tonight.
NBA DAILY PREDICTION: TEAM STEPHEN +2.5
