Clippers vs. Pelicans Pick
The Los Angeles Clippers look to pick up another win without Blake Griffin when they face the New Orleans Pelicans tonight at 8PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, New Orleans is favored at home in tonight’s game, as the Pelicans are getting odds of -2.5 points against the Clippers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 208 points.
Los Angeles is 20-13 on the season, 10-7 on the road and 13-17-3 against the spread. New Orleans is 10-21 overall, 7-6 at home and 12-19 against the spread. The home team has won six straight in this series, but the Clippers are 5-3 against the spread in their last eight against the Pelicans, including a cover back on Nov. 27.
The Clippers have won four straight, all on the road, despite losing Blake Griffin to an injury last Saturday. They take on a New Orleans team that has been inconsistent lately. The Pelicans don’t defend the 3 as they allow teams to shoot 39.1 percent against them. That will help shooters J.J. Redick and Jamal Crawford. Center DeAndre Jordan has stepped up offensively with Griffin out, as has veteran Paul Pierce.
