NBA Division Odds: Atlanta Hawks an 8/5 favorite to win the Southeast

The Southeast Division may be the most competitive of divisions in the Eastern Conference. Here is a look at the odds to win the Southeast in 2016.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Atlanta Hawks are the favorite to win this division, as they have 8/5 odds while the Miami Heat and the Washington Wizards each have 11/5 odds.

The Hawks have only won this division one time, which was last season. Atlanta was 60-22 last season. Atlanta added Tim Hardaway Jr. to its roster for this season and still has plenty of talent returning from last year.

The Heat are seven-time winners of the Southeast Division, last winning in 2014. Miami was 37-45 in the 2014-15 season. Miami brings hack a lot of talent from its roster and added Amar’e Stoudemire and Justise Winslow in the NBA Draft and free agency.

The Wizards have never won the division title. Washington went 46-36 last season. Washington has some nice young talent, but lost veteran Paul Pierce from the roster.
