Durant has been the best player in the NBA Finals thus far, scoring over 30 points in each of the three games in this series. In Game 1, Durant put up 38 points with 9 rebounds. Game 2 saw him chip in 33 points with 13 rebounds and 5 blocks. Wednesday’s Game 3 saw Durant score 31 points and pull down 9 rebounds. He also had the crucial 3-pointer in the closing minute that pushed the Warriors into the lead for good.
The newcomer to Golden State has known all season that anything less than a championship would be consider a major failure. He is playing some of the best basketball in his career right now and doing it at both ends. His shooting has been on point as well.
