Are the Spurs a good bet to cover tonight against the Raptors coming off a loss in their previous game?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Spurs are 6.5-point home favorites versus the Raptors after opening as a 7-point favorite when the line was first released. As for the total, the number hit the board at 212.5 and has been bet all the way down to 207.5 at the majority of online and Vegas sports books.
Kyle Lowry is coming off an impressive effort against the Lakers on Sunday, scoring 41 points while making 12-of-16 field goals and 11-of-11 free throws. He also added nine rebounds, seven assists and six 3-pointers in the 123-114 win in Los Angeles. At 23-10, the Raptors are now just 2.5 games back of the Cavaliers for the best record in the East. They’re also sitting 3.5 games ahead of the Celtics in the Atlantic Division.
Despite receiving a season-high 22 points from Tony Parker, the Spurs fell to the Hawks 114-112 in Atlanta on New Year’s Day. Parker went 10-of-18 from the field and 1-of-2 from the line while adding six assists, three rebounds and just one turnover in 32 minutes of action. LaMarcus Aldridge also finished with 27 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in the overtime loss.
