Can Cleveland win without LeBron?
The Cleveland Cavaliers will be sitting LeBron tonight, but can they still handle the Houston Rockets at home at 8PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Cleveland is the slight favorite at home tonight, as the Cavaliers are getting odds of -2 points against the Rockets. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 211.5 points.
Cleveland is 52-21 overall, 30-6 at home and 32-38-3 against the spread. Houston is 36-38 overall, 16-22 on the road and 32-42 against the spread. The Cavaliers won the lone meeting this season, 91-77 on the road back on Jan. 15. Houston, however, has won six of the last seven in this series and gone 5-2 against the spread in those seven games.

The Cavs will be without LeBron James tonight, as he is being rested. The Cavs are 5-2 in their last seven straight up but just 2-6 ATS in their last eight. Houston isn’t exactly solid right now either, going just 3-6 overall and ATS in their last 9 games. It will be interesting to see if the Cavs step up without LeBron tonight. They are still a team that is 30-6 at home and only a 2-point favorite against a team with a losing road record. The Rockets haven’t shown enough in my eyes to pick them tonight as the Cavs still have plenty of talent without James. If anything, it’s a chance for the guys to show what they can do without him.
