Wednesday NBA Opening Odds
(The Spread) – The Thunder, Grizzlies and Hornets all try to build on their leads when the NBA playoffs continue on Wednesday.
The Hornets shocked the masses with their win in Game 1 over the Lakers on Sunday. New Orleans won outright as 11-point underdogs as Chris Paul scored 33 points, seven rebounds and finished with 14 assists. Carl Landry added 17 points, while Jarrett Jack finished 15 points and five assists.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Lakers are 11.5-point favorites over the Hornets, while the over/under total has opened at 187.5 points. The opening tip off is set for 10:30PM ET.
The Grizzlies pulled off an upset of their own last Sunday, beating the Spurs 101-98 behind Zach Randolph’s 25 points and 14 rebounds. Marc Gasol chipped in 24 points and nine rebounds, while Mike Conley finished with 15 points and 10 assists.
According to latest NBA trends, Memphis is 6-0 against the spread in its last six games against the Spurs and 4-0 ATS in its last four trips to San Antonio. The over is 7-1 in the last eight meetings between these two teams when the game is in San Antonio, and 5-1 in the last six meetings overall.
In the other NBA game tonight, the Thunder are 4.5-point favorites over the Nuggets, while the over/under is currently 207 points. The opening tip off is set for 8:00PM ET.
