Wednesday NBA Playoff Free Pick
(The Spread) – The San Antonio Spurs look to erase the 1-0 deficit that they have in the first round when they host the Memphis Grizzlies tonight.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Spurs 8-point favorites over the Grizzlies for Game 2 tonight at 8:30PM ET. The over/under total for this game is currently 195 points.
The Grizzlies shocked the top-seeded Spurs with a 101-98 victory on Sunday. Memphis covered as a 6.5-point road underdog, as Zach Randolph scored 25 points and finished with 14 total rebounds. Marc Gasol chipped in 24 points and nine boards, while Mike Conley had 15 points and a team-high 10 assists.
The Spurs struggled without Manu Ginobili, even though they had six players finish with double-digit points. Tony Parker led the team with 20 points, while Tim Duncan finished with 16 and George Hill had 15. Duncan had a team-high 13 rebounds, while Parker finished with just five assists, but led San Antonio in that category.
NBA Playoffs Free Pick: I don’t expect the Grizzlies to win back-to-back games in San Antonio but until the Spurs can prove they can dominant an opponent with Ginobili, I recommend taking the points. According to latest NBA trends, the Grizzlies are 6-0 against the spread in their last six games against the Spurs, and are 4-0 ATS in their last four trips to San Antonio. The underdog and road team are both 5-2 against the number in the last seven meetings, which obviously fits Memphis. Take the Grizzlies with the points.
